A B O U T M E ;
Hi and welcome to my journal. ♥ I have never written an introduction post, but I thought I ought to give it a try. This is the journal of skyrend. I used to be and am still in some form gravitykills, but I felt the need for a change, so here I am. You can call me Rabi, because I prefer to not give out my real name.

My user name comes from a sword in the original Final Fantasy VI, back when it was still numbered III. The sword was called Skyrender. Unfortunately, that name was already taken. ._. Therefore, I created skyrend. I was also on a Firefly kick at the time and the name somehow seemed to suit the series to my eyes.

I am female, between the ages of 18 and 25, currently full time employed with the intention of returning to school someday. I am a gamer and it is an obsession that more or less absorbs my whole life. I also follow several manga, but I have a harder time keeping up with the latest animes. You can check out my interests in my user info to see more of what I am really into.

What you will find on this journal is 80% video games and the other 20% whatever random thing happens to pop into my head. I am very flighty and my interests hop around ridiculously but there are certain things that captivate me and hold my attention for longer.

This journal is semi-public, which means anything that does not pertain to my real life or anything personal will be unlocked and viewable to anyone. Things I prefer to keep more on the down low will be under a lock.

You are welcome to add me at any time! I like to meet new people, though I don't converse very well on instant messengers. I also tend to get behind on commenting a lot of the time but I try to comment on friends entries. I don't care whether or not I receive comments myself, so you won't have to worry about being defriended simply because you don't comment enough.

If I have added you and you are wondering who this random person is, I probably have seen you around and think you seem neat and would like to get to know you. I won't hold it against you if you don't add me back, of course. If you would like me to remove you, just let me know, and I will do you that courtesy.

My spoiler-free reaction to Tales of Vesperia thus far is as follows: YEY, VOICE ACTED SKIT SCENES. ♥! It makes me sad that there were none for Abyss.

Oh yes, I have a 360 now. ♥ Between that and playing Suikoden II, I haven't touched my computer in a week practically. But I'm alive. Trying to play catch up (commenting, e-mails, homg). Hi, peeps!

Question for any players of Suikoden (namely the second game this time around) on my flist. ( Behind the cut, just because. )

Suikoden on the DS, in case anyone out there cares to know (and you should). The 'no word' on whether or not it's coming to the States makes me a little emo, but I'll hold out hope.

The real point of this entry is to say that I finally have the second game in the series again thanks to brokenbrawler, and I didn't have to pay over $200 bucks for it. ♥ This makes me ha~ppy.

Playing the original in the mean time so that I can carry over data into a new file for the second game (all for the purposes of recruiting Tir McDohl at some point, and then playing III and being able to do all the plays). I am very much amused by the fact that when you check on sleeping Viktor, his sleeping noise is, "GRRRRRRRRRRRRR ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ."

... omgLULZ.

Oh, what else can you expect from MSN.com?

It's over? Nooooooooo. ;___; I'm going to miss it so much.

There is something wrong when you own over 115 video games, you really want to play something, and not a single one of them is leaping out at you going, "Pick me, pick me!"

... there may also be something really wrong with owning over 115 video games, heh.

brokenbrawler, package sent yet?

I changed my mind again. This is my favorite episode of Avatar. It's like Avatar meets The OC, only better because it's hilarious. And it's actually endearing Azula to me, and even better, Zuko and Mai just broke up. lol. XD

I should finish episodes before I post about them, but this one is just so freaking awesome.

edit: ... Wow. It just became even more lame teenage angst series with the four of them sitting around the beach discussing how terribly their parents screwed them up for life.

I finally beat FF IV DS last night by a true stroke of absolute luck. Difficulty level was outrageous in this version of the game. All my characters were level 80 and Big Bang still wiped out everyone but Cecil and Rosa every time it struck me. Then Zeromus started pulling Meteor and multi-cast Flare. I beat the game with all my characters dead except for Kain with 8 HP and I only won because I was so annoyed I was like fine, I will just keep JUMPING.

... and his last jump hit for 8,000 and Zeromus died. It was kind of funny but irritating after all that effort I made to keep everyone alive.

I am also at the end of Digital Devil Saga, and since I have a feeling the ending is going to be open, I don't particularly want to beat it until I get the sequel. So it's on hold for the moment. It's a very short game, I found. About 30 hours. But my only other real experience with an Atlus game was Persona3 and that game is ridiculously long.

Maybe I will take some time out now to finally finish Phoenix Wright. I am so behind on that bandwagon, it's not even funny. Or I could finish watching all of Avatar. (I am up to episode 3 of Season 3).

I don't feel good. .__.

Today has been awesome. Been such a quiet, slow day. I've been alternating between playing Digital Devil Saga, watching Avatar, and reading Twilight in bits and pieces. I really like Twilight, actually. It certainly isn't the best book in the world, but I find it entertaining. I'm still wondering why people get so ridiculous about it, but I'm not involved in its fandom, so (and will be remaining that way, thank you).

Meanwhile in gaming news, I love the hell out of this game. I wish I knew someone that has played it so I could babble. ._. I just finished Coordinate 136 or whatever it's called which was so cool. The music there was fantastically creepy. I wanted to know the end of the story about the princess and the princes. Also, Heat. ♥ I love Heat so much. (and feel so bad for him) I also love Gale, but Cielo is irritating and Argilla needs to stop being so damned emotional.

A little while ago I decided I finally needed to eat and decided to make scrambled eggs. I was so damn disappointed when I couldn't find any eggs. ;__; But all is well, because I used Egg Beaters instead!

Without further ado, impressions on Avatar. ( Episodes 8 to 15 of Season 2. )

Instead of making constant post after post about my impressions, I decided to keep a document on hand instead to record my thoughts on the rest of season one of Avatar. ( Thus, they are as follows. Episodes 10 to 20. )

Now I will attempt to respond to comments. 8D And then, marathoning through season two!

All you Avatar fans on my flist, you sure know how to suck people into your series. (cairea, you too.)

Because I am totally going to be lame now and say best. show. EVAAAAAAAAH. ♥ (well, maybe not ever ever, but definitely up there!) Just finished the Winter Solstice episodes. Zuko, why do I find myself falling completely in love with you? You started out so lame. Then you had to go and be so cute with your uncle. Damn you.

Sokka and the lemur are still the best. ♥ Of course, I love that whole group and their adorable family dynamic (omg end of episode eight when Aang is all upset about the Evil Comet of Doom and Katara and Sokka are comforting him).

Good thing I have nothing to do tomorrow, because I'll probably marathon through the rest of season one and start on season two. XD

edit: omg, Zuko's voice actor is Rufio from HOOK. That makes me love him so much more now.
